DepEd Memo No. 126 S 2012

Pursuant to the Synchronized program, project and activities of DepEd Memo no 109, S 2012 all supremen pupil goverment, supreme student government and other school based co curricular clubs or organizations shall actively participate in the 2012 National teachers Month and World Teacher day celebration from Sept 5 to Oct 5, 2012 with the theme "My Teacher My Hero".

In view thereof, the following organizaton matters hall be observed and accomplished to achieve a united, synchornized and successful conduct of NTM and WTD activities:

a. THe SPGs and the SSG in all pulic and private schools shall lead the planning and implementation of all activities pertinent to these celebrations;

b. As often as possible, SPG with the guidance of their advisers shall call all presidents, heads, representatives of school based cocurricular clubs or organzations to a meeting, while the SSGs shall convene the Coordinating Council of Campus Co-curricular organziation in accordance with DepEd Order No. 79, s 009, otherwise known as the Revise standard Constitution and By Laws of the SSG in High School.

C. Boy Scouts, girl Scouts and other school based co curricular clubs or organization may plan their own NTM and WTD activities

c. PTA, local goerment units and other government agencies officials, community, business, socio-civic organizatons and non government organization leaders including church leaders shall be invited and engaged in the planning and implementation of activities reltaive to NTM and WTD celebrations.

2012 Premyo Rizal Essay Writing Contest

DepEd Memorandum No 123 S. 2012


In celebration of the 151th Birth Anniversary and 116th death anniversary of Dr Jose Rizal, the national hero, the My Rizal Committee together with the DepEd - Special Program and Projects Office shall conduct the 2012 Premyo Rizal Essay Writing Contest for both elementary pupils - Grade 6 and 7 and high school 3rd year and 4th years.

The contest aim to:

a. deepen student awareness of Jose Rizal both as a here and as an ordinary person

b. Enable them to appreciate, internalize the video entitled "Kaninong Anino" to be able to relate the story to the life, works, ideals and teachings of the country's national hero.

3. The general rules of the essay writing contest and entry form are enclose for reference

All entries for both levels must be submitted not later than Sept 30, 2012

DepED ICT Program - Assessment

The Department of Education and the United states Agency for International Development have agreed to conduce the ICT4E Assessment entitled Understanding the state of the Art of Information and Communication Technology for Education in the Philippines.


The Foundation for Information Technology Education and Development will be the overall coordinator for this project.


The project team members are hereby authorized to visit DepED offices, elementary and secondary schools, and Alternative Learning system centers and to conduct the following activities from July to September 2012.

b. To better integrate ICT in the K12 Curriculum

c. To create and implement ICT training programs for teachers

Request to Hire a Senior System and Web Developer/programmer for the Learning Resources Management and development

This is to request for the hiring of a Senior System Developer/Programmer for the Learning

Resources Management and Development System to funded by SPHERE for 6 and 1/2 month from June

15, to Dec 31 2012.


Requirements:

1. MVC framework and object oriented programming
2. Solid coding experience in web development tools particularly PHP, AJAX, HTML, Java scripts, CSS.
3. Portal management systems and tools.
4. Creative UI design skills for web page design and development including, audio, full motion video, tex and graphics production. (Adobe Flash, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro skills is an advantage)
5. Relational database management systems, particularly MySQL
6. System analysis and design methodologies.
7. Web analytics and tools to establish and report on system performance matrics.
8. Network and web security Administration.

Desired Experience

1.At least 5 years experience in system and web development with skills in analysis, design, programming, testing and implementtion.

2. At least 3 years experience in developing web based applications, web portals using PHP, MySQL, Code Igniter, Apache and anything related.

3. Experience in development and implementation of goverment and or eduation related application, particularly in the areas of learning content development and management system.

4. At lease 2 years experience in training users, providing technical support on large scale system implementation or operationalization.

5. Must have teaching skills and dedication for public service.




The expertise of an experienced Senion System Developer is critical to ensure the continuing

development, find tuning and optimization of the LRMDS application. The development involves

the adjustment of the system to accommodate new data and process requirements, review and

optimization of program codes and system design to ensure maximum performance.

With the creative design skills in webpage design and development of the Senior system

developer, it is expected that the LRMDS will be able to provide learning resources that are

interactive including those with audio, audio visual, text and graphics production.

Project Scope:

Develop new programs and or adjust existing programs according to approved requirements and

set coding standards.

Redesign ser interfaces and enhance the functionality of the sytem to enhance access LR

information and usability of the portal.

Design, coordinate and delivery fully function web based and internactive software

applications.

Test, deploy and document program modules in coordinatio with QA/Program Support and DepED

LRMDS Mainternance Group.

Liase with the office of technical services and regional LRMD systems managersas required to

inform systms improvements.

Provide necessary techniccal inputs to system design and development strategies to ensure adherence to industry "best practices"and standards.

Train the DepED LRMDS Maintenance Group on the continuing maintenace of the LRMSDS software.

Provide neccessary technical support to system users

Williness to travel as required.

Salary Range - 80,000 to 100,000 a month.
