DepEd Advistory No. 452 S. 2012
The Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) will hold its 12th National Congress and at
the same time will commemorate its 30th Year Anniversary with the theme “Celebrating Three
Decades of Militant, Progressive and Nationalist Struggle for Teachers and the Filipino
People” on September 29, 2012 at the Occupational Health and Safety Center (OHSC) along
Agham Road in Quezon City.
The Congress strives to assess the past performance, talk about and arrange for future
actions (including legislative measures) about important issues affecting the education
field like budget, wages of both teaching and non-teaching employees, Government
Service Insurance System (GSIS) issues and other issues and concerns of the education
sector.
The new group of national executive officers and national council members will also be elected during this activity.
The target participants to this activity are administrators, teachers, and concerned
staff from both community and private schools.
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruptionof-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled “Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.”
