empower the teạchers ạnd believe you me sirs ạnd mesdạmes thạt our educạtionạl system will chạnge...
the chạnging time needs flexible teạchers, one who cạn ạddress situạtions the wạy they ạre uniquely presented...the current system does not provide for this flexibility ạlmost every teạcher i know from the field ạre being literạlly hạndled by their superiors... be it the principạl, the supervisors etc...

Just this school yeạr my beloved public school which is ạ smạll school gạve me ạ teạching loạd of physics, biology, chemistry ạnd ict, not to mention my ạdvisory clạss.. yes more thạn 6 hours loạd ạnd no extrạ pạy... When the supervisor cạme, ạll she could ạsk me is my lesson plạn.. ạnd they mạde ạll the fuzzed ạbout me not being ạble to give them ạ lesson plạn.. but know this: I’m to dạmn good in clạss but it doesn’t mạtter to them... i hạve no lesson plạn....( thạt week professionạlly: I wạs studying genetics for biology, ạrchimedes principle in physics, the criticạl ạreạs in NạT -bio Exạm for their review clạss, finding the equạtion of ạ line in geometry, doing the form 2 for the ạdvisory… personạlly: my mom is ạsking me for money for the wạter bill, my brother who is dependent on me is pestering some things too personạl to describe here, my wife is in the hospitạl…etc…..) ạnd I don’t hạve my lesson plạn… How stupid ạm I.. Lạzy meeeee….

I agree wholeheartedly to anonymous about us teachers being given a breather. I wuld also like to add about the so called NAT being given to 2nd year students. May I respectfully ask how do DepEd officials verify the truthfulness or the veracity of the report coming to their office. In my mind, this NAT only serves to destroy the moral fabric of the teachers because they will do EVERYTHING so that their school will not be kulelat.
Sa palagay ko naman ay mulat ang mga nasa posisyon lalo na ang mga nasa gobyerno sa totoong sitwasyon ng mga guro pero sabi nga nila ang edukasyon sa Pilipinas ay isa pa ring malaking pulitika at mapagkukunan ng malaking kita. Kawawa lang talaga ang mga tulad mong may dedikasyon sa pagtuturo. Saludo ako sayo at sana mas marami pa rin ang tulad mo.

@anonymous: Yes, try to ask your head. Its' for the chairman and the examiner. We were told during our meeting before the NAT.

Education must be functional, one that permeates action and result. As a principal, it is my duty to simplify the works of my teachers without sacrificinf quality. In our school, we are driven to innovate, integrating every good thing under the sun until students and teachers are truly emancipated from the miseducation WE ALL ACQUIRED through the years. UBD is good, but it is not the END of educatiion. It does not even know the real issue of our students in class, so I empower my teachers, our curriculum, our system..because it is our mission to really TEACH that does not solely please a few, but our MASTER TEACHER above. It is high time that teachers must really teach according to conscience and to do that, we must contextualize our approach...BELIEVE ME, no BEC, RBEC or UBD can truly liberate a person's ignorance until we learn to evaluate what really went wrong in our curriculum.

If the Dep Ed will take care of the welfare of the teachers, they will work hard toward attaining quality education. if they will reduce the class size from 50 to at least 25 or 30, then quality instruction can be provided to all of the pupils. If the Dep Ed will make every school ideal school where pupils can stay in a conducive classroonm with enough spaces to learn and provide complete ancillary services to all schools, then quality education will not remain an elusive dream.
At last i found an avenue where i can share my idle thoughts and wisdom. With the introuction of CB-PAST, teachers are forced to exert their effort in order not to be rated S" The questions is will the use of CB past increase the pupils' performance?Over loading the teachers with too much work is not a guarantee that teachers will do their best to teach the children learn the pedagogy of learning
The problem here in the Philippines is that educators do not know--or perhaps, comprehend--what educational schema they dare use that the country may proceed forward and not remain in the trash dumps of ignorance. Almost ever three years or so, DepEd top honchos are replaced (or made to be replaced) by people who we don't have an inkling about, even as to whether they could fully implement a stable curriculum for students and teachers' consumption. True, government efforts can be laudable at times; but mainly, the problem lies on how efforts or policies could be executed with much prudence of course, definite resolution. It almost always seems our education sector people get confused on the curriculum-inducement process.
I have yet to see a Philippines with a stable definition of its own education that may produce graduates of high calibre but at the same time, with a certain distinction likened to any one remarking of this nature:
"This child is wonderfully Philippine-educated as its education pedagogy is one of the best in the world."
i agree with u dapat realist at existentialist sila...kasi minsan they judge the teachers' performance out from the 1hour observation..not even asking details..how and why it happened..doing the lesson plan everyday is indeed a tiring job..can they just create some MODULES (with audio-visual materials) for us to follow..and it is all up for us to do some innovations rather than lesson planning daily..anyways LEARNING IS CAUGHT AND NOT TAUGHT and most of the time happened and discovered later..i my case im teaching english 5&6 di ko gets ang curriculum sa english, mixed-up kasi..especially the target skills..hayy..teachers kaya pa ba?

i understand how you feel. Like you i work in a small school pretending to be an international school...gave me a load in gensci, chem bio and physics at the same time not including my duties as an adviser. SOmetimes, administrators are the most stupid persons in this line of work.i have no doubts to leave this school coz everythings just a piece of crap.

Room to breathe. That's nearly impossible but possible. Minsan din nangarap ang mga Heads na yan for something like "room to breathe" pero may nabago ba? I agree about teachers are the top secret of a successful education and must be compensated the most, in fact worth their investment. That's why while in our youths let us work hard. Prove our worth. Dahil tatanda din yang mga nabubulok sa posisyon. But I dearly pray that when the time come we're up there, let us remember the dire sufferings of our fellow teachers. Never forget what we all hope for.
Good pm who ever you are i agree with you for the things you mentioned in your blog. Weeeh! this administrators including division supervisors are impossible. But if you would ask them they would surely say " be resourceful you're teachers. I can't understand why some of them become one without the knowledge or even background in personnel management.They dont even recognized the effort of their teachers. They always look for the teachers mistakes. Some of them are inconsiderate.I hope the selection committee on every division or region will not only look for the educational background of the administrator applicant it would be better if they know how to handle teachers and pipuls in humanitarian way.
I just want to comment on the implementation of 2C2IA in English and Filipino here in Region IVA. You are not helping the teachers but giving them burden and problems. Come to think of it we primary teachers are handling 5 to 6 subjects and yet we have to write a very long lp for that 2c2ia.Its still fine teachers would follow you but how. Even administrators dont how would it be implemented without the visual materials and the like. We consume our time in writing lp and making visual aids. Why dont you prepare modules and provide us materials specially bigbooks and you would see a visible implementation of that 2c2ia.

iam grateful there is a blog like these for the teachers. personally, i can say that we have an awkward educational system putting all the blame on us teachers quoted in one phrase "teacher factor". if a certain school could not achieve a good MPS , THOSE superiors would just say "teacher factor". kawawa talaga tayong mga teachers. tayo ang nasa alanganin palagi. especially sa "no touch policy". ang lalakas ng loob ng mga bata ngayon. bastos pa yung iba. alam nila na hindi mo sila pwede kantihin. inaabuso nila ito pati na rin ng mga konsitidor na mga magulang. imbes na maturuan ng proper values ang mga bata, nagte-take advantage sila dahil lam nila na wala kang laban pag nasobrahan nila at nakanti mo sila kahit ga buhok lang sila....
on my experience, binantaan pa ako ng parent na magkikita daw kami sa korte...
to deped: sana naman mas alagaan nyo ang mga guro... ipaglaban nyo naman kami... sa mga school admin naman, protektahan nyo mga guro nyo... wag naman puro magulang at students ang panigan nyo...
Just wondering...Master teachers nowadays are receiving highest salary. But DepEd don't utilize them well. Most MT's are "veteran"/ senior teachers who served the school for more than 20years. What I noticed, during distribution of loads, the were given the most convenient time schedule, best sections and least loads. HOW come? Aren't they suppose to do more than the T-1? Many MT's also are empty... sad to say!!!
i sincerely agree to that "breather issue raised by one concerned teacher and if i may add, the new curriculum designed for freshmen particularly in English subject is not child friendly.It's called BEC, meaning basic. but how can we say that the contents are basic when Literature is the focus, 1st grading Narrative 2nd grading Drama,Poetry for the 3rd grading and Essay for the 4th, making things more difficult is that,the IMs to be used are the "not so popular" stories. Perhaps it would be proper to reconsider and have a thorough review on the contents of the BEC.
Yeah I guess it is right, to give the teachers their space. They should be treated as great individuals who helped parents in bringing their children to be good citizen. They should be given fair and enough benefits, not only those at the government but also at the private. capital one banking

!Malaking slice sa budget ng edukasyon ang napupunta sa pag iimprenta ng mga parapernalyang ginagamit diyan siyempre lalong lumalaki dahil sa mga SOP, wag tayong mawalan ng pagasa sabay sabay na manalangin ang mga sumasanayon sa atin na sana ay disgrasyang mabasa ng DEPED Secretary itong mga sinusulat natin at mamulat ang mata given the benefit of the doubt na hindi nila naiisip ang mga ganitong pangyayari.

i am once a classroom teacher for almost 8 years,yes i agree that teachers can still teach relevantly without lesson plan written as long as he or she understands the objective of her topics and knows how she could catch up the interest of the pupils to fully understand the lesson.and thats the very important ....teaching religiously...with manuals as a guide ....can also be a supplementary from writing lesson plan .....

saya ko natagpuan ko e2ng blog na e2. but somehow sad sa mga nababasa ko... kahit saang lugar pl d2 sa ating bansa may mga biktima at testigo sa mga pangyayaring d maganda sa ating mga paaralan... agree ako sa mga kapwa ko guro na nagshare ng experiences nl tungkol sa Lesson planning, MT, NAT, teachers'welfare & reducing class size, promotion, and those school heads who lack school & personnel management not to mention cases on corruption.

we already know the weaknesses of the education system...but instead of writing all these negative thoughts and feelings why dont we encourage each other to make a difference in our own little ways to give quality education to our students...maybe a small step everyday will eventually become a big leap in the future =)
im glad na mayroon palang ganito para sa mga tulad nating guro ng pampublikong paaralan. right now there is only one thing i am sure of, even administrators know the defect of the current system (NAT, Lesson planning, promotion, purchase of equipments). yet they must act as if they don't know. reason, they have positions to protect and maybe, just maybe, they are enjoying the benefits of the current system.
sino ba naman ang gugustuhing baguhin ang sistema na pinapakinabangan din nila.
i just hope that individuals with conscience will soo found themselves leading the department of education, and the different offices connected to the department.

dun sa nag agree kay teacher from Zambales. parang mali ang pagkaintindi mo manang , hindi mga low performer ang mga nandadaya,, kaya narerate na low performer ang mga aguro ay dahil ibinabase sa results ng test, if you are honest alalagay mo ang tunay na nakuha ng bata at pagaralan kung panu iimprove ang sitwasyon, yung lagi sa top of th list ng performing schools dyandapat magbusisi totoo ba na mga head teacher ang nagbibigay ng leakages?????? magimbetiga at kung totoo parusahan ang gumagawa nito,, bakit kapag estudyante ang nahuling nagkodigo halo ipa expel bakit pag mga heads at guro wala lang??????? magulang din ako at hindi dapat na ipakita ang ganitong halimbawa....
I feel happy whenever i read the comments posted but i also want to know if there have been any solutions to the problems posted? As a teacher, i also have a lot of concerns in our school like other teachers do and im happy because i am not the only one i also feel disgusted that almost all places in the Philippines, we have the same problems regarding our educational system. What will we do now in order to address these immesuarable problems and concerns? Is there anybody who can solve these problems so that we can realize the objectives,. mission, vision or even the purpose of education???
Some government agencies like the CSC are trying hard to screen teachers for scholarship grants. However, it is quite hard to accept for some who strived hard at their own expense in order to earn their post graduate degree graduated from prestigious universities in our country and yet the minimum requirement in some qualifying examinations for promotions is based not on EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT but on SALARY GRADE....yet, some are occupying higher positions in some schools who did not even finish their academic requirement in their M.A. Is there any chance of improving the standards and guidelines for promotions of teachers?
Just want to comment regarding the "special consideration or benefit for passing the LET" well if you passed the exam that is your competitive advantage over the others who took up education, it is actually a minimum requirement in hiring teachers who will teach in public any school in the Philippines. Meaning, a teacher applicant cannot be hired if he or she did not pass the board exam.

sana po matutukan ng DepEd ang kakayahan ng mga punungguro sa pamamahala ng mga matataas na paaralan sa quezon. mayroon po kasi na hindi sapat ang kakayahan na sa halip itaas ang antas ng paaralan, mga mag-aaral at kaguruan ay ibinagsak pa. halos nawalan ng saysay ang pagsisikap ng mga high school at mga guro dahil sa kulang sa kakayahan ng punungguro. sana po kundi man maalis sa tungkulin ay mailipat na lamang sa ibang paaralan upang ang nasabing paaralan sa quezon ay magkaroon naman ng mas kaaya-ayang pagbabago sa lalong madaling panahon. salamat po!
seminars are good especially if such would be functional in time but i am just wondering why DepEd authorities ordered concerned school teachers to seminars during the last week of May, during the enrolment of learners? don't the department know the consequences of teachers unable to meet the parents and children upon enroling? don't the department know how demanding it would be for such teachers attending the seminars during such dates and trying to cope with the thoughts of how to prepare for the following week's teaching? why the department did not impose such seminars at early days of the vacation period?

hello po! sana po may matinding TRAINING SEMINAR AND WORKSHOP ang lahat ng mga school administrators para po maputol na po ang trapo na pamamalakad nila. sana po maputol na ang ibang mga chismosa, libakera at crab attitudes ng ibang school administrators. may mga school administrtors rin na may favoritism po. may mga "angels" sila na palaging nasa ofis. yung mga angels na yon ay yong palaging nag-stay sa ofis kahit teaching hours, yong mga sipsip. may mga school administrators na siyang leader ng tsismis at panghihimasok sa buhay ng ibang may buhay. may mga administrators na kalabanin ang mga teachers na hindi lumalabas ng classroom kasi nagtuturo ng maayos.natural lang po sa isang classroom teacher na nasa loob ng classroom during class hours, hindi po nag-stay ng principal ofis, di po ba? sana mabigyang halaga din ang mga teachers na nasa loob ng classroom nagtuturo during teaching hours at hindi nag-stay sa ofis para lang sa mga tsismis!

low MPS is due to teacher factor, many drop outs due to teacher factor, absenteeism of students, teacher factor parin.... kawawa ang mga teachers... teachers nalang palagi.....????
How about the system? Don't you think contributory factor din ang educational system??? why conclude directly that Low ang MPS is due to teacher factor? the governement supposedly take good care of the teachers since teachers nurse the young people to become productive citizensin our country.
I also don't understand the way they will evaluate the teachers... Their basis is the MPS of last school year then compare it to the result of the present school year..... if the MPS becomes low, then mark the teacher "S"... bec. teachers were not able to maintain or make the MPS higher...they did not think that that we have different set of students in every school year.... then, they will blame it to the teacher.... I really don't understand...Many people claim for change i pray and be thankful that there will be even one.

"The Breather Issue" Its what we really need in the Division of Eastern Samar! Teachers here in the division are mostly suffocated especially schools or district under the supervision of one school adapter-a supervisor who thinks he is really good at supervision and management. In fact he should be after all he is now a "doctor of education."This "doctor of Education,"(as he would want to be publicly known)is very meticulous in his supervision that even a teachers toenails are not excused from his scrutiny. We had just learned recently, bawal pala magturo ang teacher na may "sirang kuko ang paa." During one of his rounds we have experienced the meticulous supervision of this supervisor, kahit konting alikabok dapat wala itong makita,(siguro sa bahay nila walang alikabok)kaunting kakulangan sa classroom ay isinisisi pa sa teacher. Obviously, this "doctor"supervisor is using his newly acquired position in the division to pry on teahers who are religiously doing their job.Ang mga katulad nitong mga school head ang nagbibigay ng sakit ng ulo sa mga teachers na lubhang napakarami na ng gawain sa paaralan maging sa kanilang sariling buhay.

Its not only a room to breathe but also a room for respect..especially respect coming from the school heads..don't nag us in the hallway or wherver you want..We are human, with feelings..don't be one sided, listen to the heart and agony of the other side..rather than focus to the feelings of your angels..be fair...
Nakalulungkot malaman na marami pa palang mga abusadong pinuno ng paaralan sa ibat-ibang lupalop ng bansa. Kung hindi pera, attitude ang problema. Sayang ang mga pinag-aralan ng mga ito na masahol pa sa mga hindi titulado.
Magkaganun pa man, marami ang abusado dahil binibigyan at pinababayaan natin sila. Napakaraming paraan upang ireklamo ang mga tulad nila na walang puwang sa mundo ng paglilingkod publiko.
Dapat na isinusumbong ang ganitong mga opisyo. Napakaraming paraan. Maaaring sa pamamagitan ng email, txt, at iba pa. Ang kailangan lamang ay dapat na magpakilala ang nagrereklamo bukod pa sa lehitimo ito at walang personal na layunin kundi ang maging bahagi ng pagbabago.

The teachers job is to teach not to do tons of paper works and reports...Reduce the number of pupils in a class and stop writing lesson plan pls!!! It is just a waste of time .Surprise observation is not also healthy for students and teachers sobrang stress lang ang dulot sa teachers... A lot of teachers performs well when they are not stress.
i salute to those teachers who are performing their duties to the fullest of their abilities but papano naman kung may ibang guro na wala na ginawa kundi magpaikot-ikot lang sa school imbes na magturo ay naghahanap ng machichika na kapwa guro at nakakaabala sa ibang klase (nandamay pa ng ibang guro) at kapag naman pinansin mo na ganun ang ginagawa kawawang mga bata naman ang mapagbabalingan ng galit nya , di na nga naturuan napagalitan pa. Hay, naku po, wala na nga po quality wala pa rin education. Kapag nagbibigay ng test ang guro binibigay na pati sagot dahil wala naman sya naturo. Paano kaya nakapasa ito sa teachers board exam??? At nakakapagtaka teacher 3 pa sya ngayon and aspirinng pa for P1, paano nangyari yun???
Hello dear teachers:-) I am sympathizing deeply with you all, for the same things are happening in our school...I would like to ask your opinions and brilliant minds about the teachers sent to attend seminars on their own expenses and the dates of the seminars are usefully on saturdays and sundaya and even holidays like this 29th and 30th of August and to add the 28th which is Sunday. the holidays are set by national government but it seems that our division office is going beyond what is set by the national law.. is this lawful?? why is it called holidays then if you are asked to attend seminars on holidays? we always have in mind of following our superiors but WHY CAN'T THEY GIVE and LEAVE US ON OUR HOLIDAYS??? it is our only time to be with our family...

True, I agree to some of the comments. NAT results are not reliable. Administration of the NAT by some examiners are not the same. There are those who are very considerate and tolerate cheating. Sayang ang gastos ng gobyerno sa ganitong mga tests. Orientation of testing coordinators being held in hotels or somewhere else is also very expensive. It is just an exercise in futility. School level evaluation is preferred by the teachers. To improve teacher's work is to give them instructional materials. There are lots of seminars, trainings conducted pero wala para rin good effects. Kailangan nila ay mga gamit sa pagtuturo.

speaking of administrator's seminars,they always have it in hotels with full accommodation...How much do they spend for these kind of seminars? why is it that if teachers are sent to seminars they always said that they do not have any budget for the seminar of the teachers? the teacher who should go to the seminar will pay for the registration, and would shoulder all the expenses during that times...they are not sending the deserving teacher to the seminar if that teacher do not have the money to support for his/her expenses.they are sending those who can afford and ended like buying the certificate for promotion..corruption is really rampant for the administrators.they are saving the money to be used by the teachers for their trainings and seminars. they are keeping it for their travels and educational trips which that only them can benifit and enjoy...does the government know about this? deped has the biggest budget from the government but only those who are in position are benefiting from it. the teachers are providing everything even during evaluations..teachers are asked to beautify their classrooms and areas assigned to them in school.they're spending their money for paints, for repairs, for buying the things that the administrator would like them to have in uniform, like the curtains, trash cans etc...does the government know that teachers are spending so much in school? administrators can claim it in return, they are being awarded for the jobs actually done by the teachers and for the recognition of beautifying the school with the proper use of government budget but the truth is the teachers are cutting their budget for their families while the administrators are saving their budget for their pockets!!! may i call on the attention of COA for proper auditing!!! watch out!! real crocodiles are in every deped division offices and in every district offices all over the country! What else are left for the teachers on field??? no more....

Module type na lang ang lesson Plan. Achievement Test kaduda-duda naman pati mga bata natututong mandaya. Bigyan ng SKILLBOOK ang mga bata na pwedeng doon magsagot sa book. Ibigay nyo sa kanila para pagdating sa bahay pwedeng maging reviewer pag may test. Dami ng budget di naman inilalaan sa tama. Talagang mapulitika kahit sa paaralan. Pag ang guro nagsisikap sa sarili sinisiraan ng iba para bumango sa itaas. Pare-pareho namang nagpapakadalubhasa sa propesyon. Salamat sa pagiging bayani mo kaguro, malakas ang iyong paninindigan.

gud eve. i just want to clarify about the PVP deductions.I was given my item last Nov 22, 2010 then i received my salary last April and May but this opening JUNE 2011 the PVP DEDUCTION APPEARED TO MY PAYSLIP AND THE TERMINATION MONTH STATED SEPTEMBER 2011 WITH THE AMOUNT OF 6177 PER MONTH, UNFORTUNATE LAST OCT AND NOV THE SAME AMOUNT WAS DEDUCTED. AS I COMPUTED THE TOTAL AMOUNT FOR 6 MONTHS DEDUCTION IS MORE THAN PHP37000 AND THIS AMOUNT IS MORE THAN THE 2 MONTHS SALARY OF APRIL AND MAY....PLS HELP US I am not the only who is experiencing this situation and this deduction might appear again this December.. thank you.

1. TEACHER FACTOR - hal. nabawasan ang bata mo kasi lumipat ng bahay o umuwi ng probinsya. Wow! kasalanan ba ni titser 'yun? kung dala pa ng bata ang mga aklat, Aray! babayaran pa ni titser 'yun.
2. PAPERWORKS- madadagdagan ba ng resulta ng mga ss na ulat ang pagkatuto ng bata dahil di na makapagturo, hindi makakain at makatulog si guro para lang magawa ang mga hindi tunay na resulta? Hal. SREA, PHIL_IRI, NAT at kung anu-ano pa. Pagsulat ng Lesson planning na nga lang eh mahaba na oras na nagugugol. haaay...
3. NAT, DAT, NEAT, NSAT atbp.-ang resulta sana wag gawing kompetisyon at basehan ang di totoo at may pandarayang resulta. Ako mismo sa ibang skul kung saan ako naging nagbantay at sa aming skul man ay nakuhaan ko pa ng video ang pagbubura di nila alam bilang katibayan kung sakali mang ako ay pagbuntunan dahil sa aking di pagsali sa mahikang kanilang ginagawa.
4. CROWDED CLASSES - I read the report last year 2010 posted at the D.O. bulletin: walang kulang sa bilang ng mga guro at gayundin sa mga silid-aralan. Ows... totoo? weeee...
5. LP WRITING AND GRADE COMPUTATION - technology...ang sabi, "all tchrs should be computer literate". Gumagamit ako excel for my class records para mas madali sana at mapagaang buhay ko pero nung chinek ng MT assigned to us, sabi sa kin. Mam, kelangan isulat mo pa rin yan sa class record o kaya'y ipaprint mo tapos idikit mo sa class record. Ngek! Saan ka pa?
6. POWER STRUGGLE - sino ba susundin n'yo? MTs na akala ay siya ang principal? Principal na nagpa-power trip? GPTA Pres./officers na kala nila sila boss ng mga guro at may-ari ng paaralan?
7. SALARY / ALLOWANCE - Waaah! until now wala pa rin ang bonus! kasi naman mam chalk po hawak ninyo at hindi baril o tangke, hehehe...
8. haaay... marami pa kaya lang kelangan ko ng magsulat uli at tapusin ang LP ko at tsekan papel ng bata.

Ano po ba ang use pagkopya ng paulit-ulit ng Lesson Plan na gumugugol ng mahabang oras na kung tutuusin ay pwedeng magamit sa paghahanda ng tchng aids atbp? ano nga po ba ang mas importante? ang may LP o ang maayos na pagtuturo? Bakit di na lang gamitin ang mga binigay nilang LP as guide kesa kopyahin ng paulit-ulit sa loob ng ilang taong pagtuturo? Sang-ayon po ako na ang guro ay pwedeng magturo ng hindi galing sa LP na kinopya lang ulit kundi mula sa puso.
with regards to MT promotions,sana di puro papel ang basehan .tignan ang performance at me recommendation din ng kapwa guro pati grade chairman dito sa qc me mga nakasama sa sreening for mt pero ang gawain ng naturang guro ay maupo, lumakad at magpasulat sa eskwela sa pisara,in short tamad ni hindi makagawa ng visual aids,puro pasulat sa bata.
I agree with ur comments about MT promotions. There are master teachers who do not deserve the promotion. Actual performance should be the basis of promotions even school heads, not only passing the test for principals. There are several principals who pass on their work to teachers. Some of them cannot even write good communications.

It's truly comforting that we have this avenue to freely express our views, opinions, frustrations and aspirations with the institution we claim to belong. The problems we have identified in our national and local systems shall serve as vivid lessons for us to aspire for a managerial position and be able to contribute in reshaping our DepED. Our acceptance of the corrupt practices is regrettable. We should be brave enough to condemn any degree of malfeasance that put our ranks as teachers below the standards of what is honorable in service. The challenge is, when you shall become a school head, make your every day a noble opportunity to re-engineer our system. Thru this manner, we can effect relevant change by simply putting to test our value system by the time our present "bosses" have retired. Let's pray that this day will come the soonest possible time. its been a while since i open up the page again,,,anyway...i am really a teacher, but now working on to be an administrator, i am aspiring, gusto kong malaman if ako ba ay magiging katulad din ng mga nakita kong guro na rising from the rank towards being school head...dati they are condemning the wrongdoings and habits of the heads, and yet after a while, ginagawa na din nila....i dont know where are the roots of the counterclockwise changes,
....I had been playing as lawyer for my colleagues when ever there are misunderstanding and misjudgement...i will not stay put while seeing my fellows in my same uniforms be aggravated by those little-brained naghahari-hariang amo...but then,,,my point is, we are used on exploiting our freedom of speech...ang gusto ko... look at ourselves...nafufrustrate kz ako na teachers' dignity are no longer you are to be proud of---sometimes...we are stoning them, tayo nakikita natin sila, e tayo nakikita ba natin sarili natin,,,,that's my only point....if only all teachers will be just and really teachers...minsan may mga gawain tayo na nakakahiya, i know you know what are those, coz they tend to be normal,starting from the bearing, personality, de corum, manners, speaking,anyway...malamang hindi pa nagpapractice ang school nyo ng School-Based Mgt... at hindi ka pa involve sa school management that's why you believed that i am an administrator... but sorry to say i am a teacher...assisting my principal to be a better one....and at the same time, a lawyer for my co-teachers... hope you to be an ideal teacher tomorrow...though we are filled with so much angst...coz there are eyes that are looking in us....:-)

For that teacher who said that she was told by her supervisor to print the class record. Your supervisor is right. You should have a hard copy just in case your files will be deleted in the computer.
For the teachers who complained being given the paper works of the principal. The reason is what if the principal will be on leave or wont be able to work for one reason or another then who will do the paper works at least you are there to save the school for not submitting reports. At least you can tell the other teacher how the school is being run budget because you are involved. She is not actually giving the work just to relieve herself but she is training you just in case she moves out and nobody can replaced her right away. It also means that she trusted you more than the others.
If we really love and care for our students and if we are really dedicated we won't mind if there are many students in our classrooms, 50 or more.I even had a hundred during my third year of teaching. The DEPED people care for you but to address our present day situation in education can not be done overnight. We must stop blaming anybody else. Let just do our part. If you happen to be at the top, do you think you will not let the teachers do what is being told to be done?
ye, there is little amount for NAT but it depends. according to my head and the teacher assigned to take care of the proctors provision, he money was used for the food lunch and snacks of our visitors for RAT NAT and DAT and it was not even enough based on the liquidation presented.
If your administrator does not know instead of making comments and complain, you try to help her because not all administrators want to be where they are now. By doing so you can contribute to the improvement of your school.Who know sooner or later you will also become an administrator/

Lesson Plan is good for us to be guided with our teachings. The Department of Education is trying their best to ease teachers work by giving us Lesson Guides in elementary department. The worse thing is why do they have to give us these lessons guides if principals would like us to rewrite it again in a form of Lesson Plan following those 5 steps. It was really a waste of time for us teaching on the field. We consumed most of our time writing on our lesson plans and left some children do their seat works. It was also a degrading on our part if some division supervisors would observe our class and see only those negative things. That can add burden on our part as teachers where infact we gave our time, best, and effort for the good of our children. You cannot just judge a teacher on the way she or he demonstrated on that certain day. Or found them without lesson plan. Why not give these principals/ supervisors teaching loads for a fair work. Nonsense..please don't use higher positions as seeing yourself far behind to those teachings on the field.

in preparation for k+12 teachers in grade I & II are given assessment test in English, Math & Science...since elementary teachers are considered generalist....and principals, without further leadership education to qualify the job aof an administrator, rose from the rank....don't you think, it's RIGHT to include them given a test...how could they be of help to teachers, if they themselves are lacking???

Isa lamang akong baguhan sa mundo ng pagtuturo. Ngunit, nagkaroon na rin ako ng isang taong karansan sa isang private school... at masasabi kong, kakaibang karansan ang buong isang taon na ito. hindi ko akalain na pahihintulutan ng ilang private school na humawaka ng isang teacher ng walong subjects sa mag kakaibang year level...bukod pa dito, humawak ako ng 4th year as their adviser.. ang mga hawak kong subjects ay Filipino, Values, Araling Panlipunan, Science, TLE, MAPEH... Grabe ang hirap ko dito... I should have to prepare 8 lesson plan at a time.. then mastering my lesson.. and in how many hours?... bukod pa ito ang mga paperworks... clubs... school activities, bukod pa dito ang ilang bagay na pinapagawa ng administrator..not related sa school work.. sobrang na shock talaga ako... halos di na ako makatulog... I really don't care about the condition of my health during that time... what really concern me is my students.. I dont care if my salary is just 6k... I want them to learn..." and then nung makapasa ako, nagmamadali talaga akong makatakas sa private schools... Ang pakiramdam ko kasi... nagiging unfair ako sa mga students ko...di ako satisfied sa itinuturo ko... And then... kakahintay ng memo from the deped... nag karoon pa ng problema... di kami nakahabol sa public schools...
noong mga oras na ito.. ilan lang sa mga rason kung bakit gustong gusto namin makalipat sa public school..una, ang subjects na mapupunta sa iyo ay maaring dalawa o isa lamang.. walang problema sa Lesson pLANNING.. dahil may mga teachers guide naman na ibinibigay ang depe... at ang suweldo ay mas malaki...
pero noong nabasa ko ang mga comment nyu.. nakaramdam ako ng hindi maganda... Ang iniisip ko talaga,, lahat ng piniproblema ko ngaun ay mawawala pag nalipat ako sa public... pero bakit ang pakiramdam ko ay mas higt na sakit ng ulo pa ang mararanasan namin...

Bago na ang SDS ng Zambales, sana lang hindi puro porma at simula..... ganyan din ang mga sinundan niya strikto at makatao makaguro, pero ng lumaon makabisor at makaprinsipal na ang karamihan ay tinawag dati na PROMO staff,ang buhay ng mga paaralan ay nasa mga guro..... kapag hindi magagaling ang guro wala, wala wala. paano huhusay magturo kung wala nang panahon sa pagtuturo at ang mga bata ay halos walang maayos na upuan at mga libro? D ba mas mabuti na sa halip ginagamit ang salapi ng bayan sa mga seminars ay unahin muna ang mga pangunahing gamit sa mga paaralan..... di ba nakikita ito ng pnakamataas na pinuno ng DEPED?sir mamasyal ka o kaya magbukas ka ng deped blog hanapin mo itong FOR GODSAKE give the teachers some room to breathe... baka sakali maliwanagan ang isip mo.
ung teacher ko... di na kami natuturuan ng mabuti dahil sa maami daw silang paper works na gingawa....
ask lang po iyon pagpapapintura sa labas ng room o buong building ay sa guro pa ipapashoulder? sa guro na nga gastos pintura at gagawa sa loob room pati pa ba naman labas.meron at saan po ba dapat kumuha ng pondo sa pagpapaganda ng ng eskwelahan.
Paano po natin maitataas ang edukasyon sa ating bansa... kung ang mga superior/princpal o kahit sa mga deped officials gumagawa ng kung ano ano ipinapagawa sa guro like full of paperworks and reports and extra curricular in school... bkit d na lang kami mag focus sa isang rum.. at magturo nalng..tiyak me pag asa pa tau na itaas ang edukasyon natin.
