Depositors of Banco Filipino Savings along with Mortgage Standard bank were found off-guard by the quick closure Thursday of its several branches from the cities associated with Mandaue and Cebu.

Within a statement distributed to the depositors, the bank said it has become ''suffering from outstanding financial anxiety, caused by a well-orchestrated smear plan quoting BSP since the source of erroneous and destructive imputation.''
