Burned by Politician Supporters: Classroom Now under Constructions

Department of Education (DepEd) faculties Division Superintendent of Cotabato province, Remy Mier-Rivera has ordered the development of temporary classrooms in Bualan Elementary School in Pikit once 2 of its classroom buildings were torched by armed men purportedly employed by losing barangay candidates.


“We have to be compelled to normalize categories in Bualan as soon as doable,” said Education Secretary Armin Luistro. “The schooling of our kids should not be interrupted by these incidents.”


The burned 2-classroom building housed grade one and two pupils of the school.


“I have ordered the expeditious processing of the fourth quarter MOOE of the school therefore it are often used to construct a brief classroom,” said Undersecretary for Regional Operations Lino Rivera during a report back to Luistro. Bualan Elementary School was re-opened in October 2008 once the armed confrontation between the AFP and also the MILF troops ceased. For years, the school has not encountered issues till November twenty four, 2010.
