Clariffication Guidelines on DepED Order 23 S. 2011
In response to the queries raised during orientation for Kindergarten Summer Program and due to budgetary constraints the following classificatory guidelines are hereby issued.
While DepEd Order no 23 s. 2011 mentions permanent kindergarten and Grade 1 Teachers who will handle the summer classes, preference should be given to DepED Volunteer teachers.
The minimum number of pupils which is 20 as prescribed in the DepED Order 23 should be strictly followed. It is advised that classes with less than 10 pupils should be enrolled in Grade 1 in 2011 and an 8 week curriculum Grade 1 will be given to them.
Only children aged 6 years old until Oct 2011 shall be accepted for enrollment. Children above this cut off age even without Kindergarten experience be enrolled in Grade 1 in June 2011.
