LIDICE for 21ST Century Contest
The Lidice Memorial, a grant organization of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the Military Historical Institute Prague and the Faculty of Philosophy at Charles University will hold the contest "Lidice for 21st Century on June 18, 2009.
The contest aims to contribute to the prevention of the memory of Central Behemian Village Lidice inhabitants who are murdered by Nazi in 1942 and to extend knowledge of the youngest generation about historical events relating the World War 2 and Nazi totalitarian regimes i the world in the 20th Century.
The contest takes place vai the Internet and is divided into 2 age groups: 10-14 and 15-19 years old.
It is open to pupils and students between 10-19 years old from any country worldwide.
