DepED Secretary alerts teachers against investment fraud

The Department of Education recommends the public mainly its teaching and non-teaching personnel not to be taken in by high-yielding financial commitment plans that are very likely nothing but hoaxes.

Education Secretary Br. Armin A. Luistro FSC said that there are actually certain lending institutions or institutions that solicit investments from the community purportedly for a substantial return on your investment.

“Offers for example greater return on investment and a strangely elevated rate of return are alluring to the gullible who are weaker to this form of scam,” Luistro added. As an illustration, an investment of a certain amount will earn as high as 50 percent per month. This, specialists say, is statistically impossible.
