Institutionalizing Peace Education in the Basic Education Curriculum
1. The EO 570 otherwise known as Institutionalizing Peach Education in the Basic Education Curriculum mandates the Department of Education (DEPED) to actively promote a culture of peace in the education system by incorporating peace education concepts, skills and values in the learning content of basic education.
2. EO 570 aims to
a. Ensures that eduation contributes to the attainment of a culture of peace in the country
b. Strenthen the partnership between government and civil society as well as among all types of learning environment and takeholders.
c. Ensure that peace education instructional, learning, and advocacy materials are developed andused consistent with rule 1 sec 1 of this document.
