ZERO CAVITY MISSION PROJECT
1. Pursuant to DepED Order No 73 s 2007 entitled Promoting Oral health in Public Elementary Schools and the Bright Smiles, Bright Futures Program jointly implremented with Colgate Palmolive Philippines Inc., DepED throught Health and Nutrition Center and Adopt a school program and the Department of Education Dentist Association emark on a ZERO CAVITY MISSION PROJECT with aims to address the high prevalence of oral health problems among school children.
2. Tje CPPI Dental Van fully euipped with dental supplies and materils will be visiting 50 selected schools nationwide. Preventive and curative services will be provided by school dentists and voulunteer dentists from partner agencies to Grade I pupils. and toothbrushing drills and oral health promotion activities will also be conductiedc to reinforce the 7 o'clock toothbrushing habit beign implemented in schools.
3. The project will be lauched at P. Bernardo Elementary School. P. Tuazon St, uezon City On Nov 5 and several schools will be visited this SY 2008-2009.
