Winners of the 3rd National English Jazz Chants Festival 2010

Winners of the 3rd National English Jazz Chants Festival 2010 for elementary pupils or high school students adn their teachers was held last Feb 15-17 at Tagum City Trade Center and Cultural Pavillon.

There are 11 regional winners that participated in the elementary and seven regional winners in the secondary.

The following are the 3 national winners for high school;

Luzon - Dacanlao Agoncillo National High School
Bantangas Division - REgion IV A - Calabarzon
Coach - Ms. Lualhati Sandoval

Visayas - Sta Barbara National COmprehensive High School
Iloilo Division, REgion VI
Coach - Ms. Jocelyn Monseratz
Also the Grand Champion

Mindanao - Carmen National High School
Davao City Region XI
Coach - Ms. Carmelita Clordiart

The following are the 3 national winners for the Elementary

LUzon - Iriga Central School
Iriga City Division, Region V
Coach - Rhodora Ilano

Visayas - Carmen Central School
Cebu Province Division
Coach - Rhodora Perico

Mindanao - Ramon Magsaysay Central Elem School
Digos City Division
Coach: Mr. Jayson Abellon
Also the Grand Champion

Each winnng team received P10,000 while each of the grand champions received P20000 from National Council for Childrens Television. The winning coaches are entitled to a 3day trip to Thailand for free in July 2010.

Tha National English Jazz Chants Festival was held as part of the evaluation of the 2009 Convergys-NCCT Multimedia Training in Oral English for Secondary and Elementary.
