The competition aims to recover stories about the personal experiences of the men and women who served during the 2nd WW as well as other individuals who lived through the same conflict, through their own recounting. This contest is intended to show that the students have interviewed researched, read about and understood the subject and formed their own narratives.The contest is open to all Filipino students 13 to 18 years of age from both public and private high schools nationwide. The background and mechanics of the contest, interview and writing guidelines for students and the release form for the students and inverviewees are contained in Enclosure Nos 1, 2 and 3 respectively.
Entries may be submitted to any Philippine Veterans Bank branch nationwide beginning Feb 7, 2011. The deadline of submission of entries is on March 15, 2011, 4:00pm. Entries received after this date will not be included in the judging.
