Anti Corruption Awareness Month

DepEd Memo No. 219 S 2013

In compliance with Presidential Proclamation no 506 dated November 16, 2012 entitled Declaring Dec 9 as National Anti Corruption Day and Republic Act No 10589 dated May 27, 2013 entitled An Act Declaring Dec of Every year as Anti Corruption Month in the Entire country, the DepEd joins the country the celebration of the said events.


This is also in line with the annual observance of international anti - corruption day on Dec 9 of every eyar as declared by the United Nations Convention Again Corruption which was adopted by teh UN GEneral Assembly in 2003, to raise peoples awareness about the costs of corruption and the role of UNCAC in compabting and preventing it.

In view of this, regional and divisions offices including schools are hereby to undertake the following activities:

Hosting of a tarpaulin commemorating the National Anti Corruption Day and the entire month of Dec as the Anti Corruption Month.

Integration of the celebration in different subjects areas

Discussion on current issues on corruption in the appropriate subject areas and

Conduct of orientation briefing on Republic Act No. 6713 otherwise known as the Code of Conudct and Ethical Standard for Public Officials nd Employees.
