I am planning to take the LET by September but then I got a problem with my NSO birth certificate wherein my name in there is different from what I am using since Elemetary level. So with this po, can I still take the same using my Local Civil Registrar while the changing of my NSO is still in process? tnx.,
saan po ba pwede ireklamo ang professor na tamad at walang respeto sa estudyante, mahilig magphiya sa klase, pag walang sumagot galit, pag may sumagot naman ipapahiya kaya natutuluyang ayaw ng sumagot ng mga estudyante nya.
can a school hold the student to take the LET if the student did not make it to the pre-board exam the school requires? what power do they have to do that when the student does not have any liabilities to them anymore? If the student finished all they require from them, why do they stop them from taking the board? who knows if they are more lucky in the LET board exam than the pre-board exam?

I applied for Sept 2010 LET exam but wasnt able to take the exam due to conflicts. I need to apply again, right? I wanted to apply this March 2012 but I wasnt sure if I'm still considered a FIRST TIMER or a REPEATER. I've been to cebu city last June 27,2012 in order to file for the LET exams this coming Sept. 30, 2012. I have taken 27 units in prof education (I am a BSA graduate),my TOR were evaluated by the in-charge, at first she told me that I am not qualified to take the LET because I had lack 1 subject in the field of measurement and evaluation because their req to take at least 1 each in the clustered subjects, but I told her that I take the prof educ subjects in the year 2000 before the clustered subject were implemented...then she allowed me to file provided that I will Take all the risk...my question is why there were some did take the exam without provision? they should put all the requirements needed for the non education graduates...not that they put it just this way "18 UNITS IN PROF. EDUCATION SUBJECTS THAT FALLS IN THE CLUSTER SUBJECTS" so that we will be aware on it....and yet I did not gamble the consequences....
corrections...they put it only this way "18 UNITS IN PROF EDUCATION" plainly not within the clustered subjects....

Dear Fellow non Education grads and most especially to the DEP ED Mentor:
I just wanted to share this not so pleasant experience in my school here in Bohol.
In 2010, I was applying for a teacher here in Bohol.Unfortunately, I was not an education grad and I never even had M.A Units to qualify for the teaching position. However, they encouraged me to take professional subjects in education para daw matanggap ako..I was so determined and I took all the school's prof.ed curriculum. I even took Practice Teaching which took me 2 and a half years to finish. I am not blaming anybody becase this is my choice and this is for my professional growth. No regrets indeed..When I finished the whole curriculum, I paid 10,365 for the graduation fee and LET Review which was compulsory . I was in my toga ( as in assuming na isa ako sa mga graduates ) and expected that my name will be called pon presentation. Pero sobrang humiliation ang nangyari sa kin dahil hindi ako tinawag. I understand the isse na hindi ako 4 year courser sa Education pero ang ikinasasama lang ng loob ko bakit nila ako pinagbayad ng graduation fee and the dean knows about it. I walked o dring the ceremenoy becase I could not even bear to see my parents in a humiliating situation. So far, the President of the school was able to have my LET REVIEW refunded.So Thank you for that. Charge it to my not so pleasant experience..To the school's dean, salamat sa idinulot mong magandang magandang kapalaran..Sa susunod wag kang mkhang pera..
It is always better to inquire to the Dean and Register of the school because some private school have their own policies. Sometime their policies are not updated and they decide who will graduate according to their own policies.
Now if you want to go to the standard, then better enrol in Government school like CNU and PNU

what exactly is "SO[B]" ??? because it says there that, "Graduates of government schools and institutions/programs accredited by recognized accredited agencies under the FAAP are exempted from SO [B]"
I deliberately ignored this the first time I saw it, but now I began to think that this might be some sort of Special Order that I must take note of.
So what is this "SO [B]" that government schools are exempted from ? In addition, what are some government schools accredited by recognized accredited agencies under the FAAP ?

Hello Mentor, I am glad I found this site. I am a graduate of Math Education in the US and wanted to apply for LET. I am a Filipino and studied in Hawaii and graduated there. But since my plan was to go back home, I didn't take any teacher certification while I was there. The LET application requires transcript that has a picture and remarks. My transcript doesn't have any scanned pictures on it and any remarks "For Board Examination Purposes Only". What should I do?

Then they were not able to take the exam over the years.

Tanong ko lang po, pwede po ba magtake ng LET exam kahit di nakatapos ng college pero natapos naman ang student teaching, may lack of 3 subjects from 1st year,nagstop po kasi ako because of family matters.
Hello po...i earned 18 units methods of teaching 20 years ago....i took the LET exam then but i failed in specialization....I am planning to take the exam again...Will it be possible for me to re apply again for LET exam..no need for refresher course or additional units? Clarify ko lang po.

A pleasant day po. I'm a graduate of AB History yr 2004 ( University of Baguio). After graduation my daughter and I followed my hubby here in Sudan (North Africa). I'm planning to take the LET exams in the Philippines but quite hesitant to the changes for these past years when it comes to the lessons I've learned then from what's being taught now. May you please give me some pieces of advice on what to do in preparation for the LET exams? I'm thinking and planning to attend LET review centers that may freshen up my knowledge.I do have teaching experience po for almost 15 years in international schools here po. Thank you po.

Hi Mentor. I just want to ask if I have to submit both the TOR from school I got my Certificate and Teaching and the school I got my bachelors degree.

I graduated in April 1999 with a BSED degree, I took the LET and I did not pass for several attempts, my last LET exam was on 2005 but I was not lucky enough. Until I decided to work overseas until this time, but I always wanted to take again the LET exam and to have a license as a Professional Teacher.
My question is, am I still allowed to take a LET exam like the next year 2019?
