The curriculum defines what a five-year-old should know and able to do on such areas as values development, physical health and motor development, social and emotional development, cognitive development, creative arts, reading and writing readiness, and language, literacy and communication.
The public welcome the new curriculum since the various private pre-school around the country will have a standard curriculum based on DepEd's criteria.

When Dep.Ed. announced that a 6- year-old child could be admitted to grade 1 without any question of what the child could do;whether the child is ready for reading, writing, cognitive and emotional development, that I think is one of the reasons why grade 1 teachers are truly having a hard time dealing with pupils who know nothing in school.Being a grade 1 teacher before, I could actually see the difference of a child entering in grade 1 who has not gone pre school education. With the new pre school curriculum, setting up what a 5-year-old child should know and perform before entering grade 1,means advancement in education.
It is an excellent way of adressing the problems of the grade 1 teachers in school...may all those who will enter grade 1 be equipped with required knowledge and skills by the new Dep.Ed. curriculum..Godluck pre school teachers! :-)
can have maintain there recognition even they transfer from one place to another? In Tanjay Division, Arjune Learning Center have no exact place for school and rooms for classrooms,when there is heavy rains the place floods too. Can you check please and inspection properly the place? thanks...
