December is now Rizal Month

Presidential Proclamation No. 126 declares the month f December of every as Rizal Month. The National Historical Institute was tasked to organize and undertake programs for the observance of the 113th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal with the theme "Kabayanihan ni Rizal: Daluyan ng Kagitingan at Pagkakaisa."

All government offices specially the public school teachers and students are encourage to support and participate in this celebration by creating a special school activity that commemorate the Rizal Month Celebration.

Recommended activities
  • Display of the Philippines Flag, bunting, and Rizal Day 2009 streamers
  • Film showing of Rizal sa Dapitan at the Rizal Park Open Auditorium, Rizal Park, Manila on Dec 29 and 30, 2009.
  • Martyrdom of Jose Rizal: A light and sound presentation 6pm and Guided tour 9am for free on Dec 28-30, 2009.
  • Musical Play "El Consejo delos Dioses" (Council of the Gods) on December 30, 2009 at 7pm at the Rizal Park Auditorium.
  • Reenactment of Rizals Walk from Ford Santiago to Luneta on Dec 30, 2009 to be followed by the commemorative rites
  • Simultaneous Flag Raising and Wreath Laying Ceremonies on Dec 30, 2007

national historical institute should be remove and replace for not doing their great duty to our country. I know they are good in history yet they failed to bring back the nationalism and pride of Filipino through History. For NHI - Mahiya naman kayo
